Well, RAS'ers, after a monthlong writing frenzy for which I can say nothing less than THANK YOU!! and you are all more incredibly awesome than mere words can express :), it's time for voting! Here's how it's going to go:

VOTING OPENS: Now
VOTING CLOSES: 11:59pm HAST (GMT-10) February 28th
WHO CAN VOTE: Anyone! Open to the public.
VOTING BALLOT LINKS: Drabbles ~ Flash Fics ~ Ficlets ~ Short Fics ~ Epic Short Fics

***PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE VOTING!! IMPORTANT INFO BELOW!!***

Basic guidelines

-Enter the NUMBER of the fic you wish to vote for in the ballot field.
-You may only vote for each fic once; you cannot nominate the same fic for more than one placement.
-You may not vote for your own fics.
-Please be honest; vote for fics you truly feel should win, not for the authors of the fics.

Run-off Voting: Drabbles and Flash Fics

Due to the large number of drabbles and flash fics, I've given each of those their own post. Also due to those high numbers of entries, the other Intercomm mods and I agreed that asking you to select only three would be a near-impossible task. Therefore, we're having run-off voting, wherein you can vote for ten drabbles, and seven flash fics. After primary voting closes, there will be one more week given for final voting in those categories, where the first, second and third place winners will be chosen.

Normal Voting: Ficlets, Short Fics and Epic Short Fics

As there are fewer entries for ficlets, short fics, and epic short fics, I've combined them into one post. You have to fill out each ballot and click each "submit" button separately!! If you fill in all the ballots in the post and only click one submit button, only that ballot will be submitted. Your other votes will be lost. On the plus side, you don't need to vote for all three categories in one go; you are able to submit your votes for, say, ficlets, and then come back on another day to vote for short fics.

How many winners will there be?

It all depends on how many fics were entered. For categories with four or less entries, there will only be a first place winner, and you can therefore only vote for one entry. For categories with five to nine entries, there will be a first and second place awarded, and you can vote for two entries. For categories with ten or more entries, there will be first, second and third places awarded, and you will be able to vote for three-- except in the cases of run-off voting, which has been explained above.

Banners

If you are of an artistic nature and would like to contribute banners for the winners, please let me know! (This invitation is only open to comm members... however, if you're interested and not yet a member, it's easy to join! ;)) I'll be glad to make them up, myself, but know that not everyone in the community is a writer, and thought that someone who's better with a graphics program than a word processing program could participate in Intercomm that way. Please PM me or reply to this post if you're interested. :)

Any questions? Need clarification? Comment below.

Also, please be sure to check out the ballots for Treat Much Right, Treat Allan Right, the Isabella Gisborne Appreciation Community, Treat Little John Right, and the Djaq Appreciation Society - links to all ballots will be found at the main Intercomm community in this post.

Thanks again to everyone who participated!! We mods were absolutely blown away by the response, and it's all because of your hard work and enthusiasm!! :)
