along with those of Treat Much Right, Treat Allan Right, The Isabella Gisborne Appreciation Community, Treat Little John Right, and The Djaq Appreciation Society
are hereby announcing
INTERCOMM
The Robin Hood Intercomm Challenge
a fanfiction competition between single-character communities
Which community can generate the most fics? RAS!
The highest word count? RAS!
Which fics will be Intercomm winners? RAS ones!

If you belong to more than one of the communities and don't know which to support, no worries--
you can enter for any or all of them!
(although I can certainly add some more elbow-nudging for RAS here! :D)
As it's suggested above, this isn't just a fic vs. fic competition, although that's part of it. It's also the communities competing, to see which can garner the highest number of fics, and the highest word count.
But it is also a fic competition-- first, there will be voting within the comms between the entries. When those winners have been determined, there will be another round of voting between them for overall Intercomm winners.
We have five categories, based on word count, for which voting will be held:
Drabble - 100 words exactly
Flash fic - 101-500 words
Ficlet - 501-1k words
Short fic- 1001-5k words
Epic short fic - 5001-10k words
Multi-chapter fics count as one entry, and can't exceed that 10k limit.
The contest opens today, but posting doesn't begin until January 1st, so we should be ringing in the new year with lots of fantastic Robin stories! (And stories about the others, too. ;))

When posting your entries here, make sure to use all of these that apply:
*intercomm
*icm: drabble, icm: flash fic, icm: ficlet, icm: short fic, or icm: epic short fic
*appropriate rating, character/pairing, etc. tags
