I'll start by saying that I really like most action movies, like some sci-fi, and really don't like Tom Cruise. So, I expected to suffer through a couple hours of Cruise in the name of fangirling. :-D Shortly before I went to see it, a fellow Jonas fan gave me a head's up that he was shirtless for a percentage of his screen time.
Sooo, I forked out for tickets to the 3D show. ;-)
And actually, I really enjoyed it! I wasn't expecting some of the humor, and I thought the plot was pretty engaging. In the end, I saw it three times in theatres, even though Jonas's role was kind of small (although, I think his screen time was about comparable to all the other actors who weren't Tom Cruise or Emily Blunt). Also, bonus Lara Pulver sighting toward the end; apparently, she had a scene, but it was cut. :-( And the DVD is pretty skimpy on extras, despite the fact that there was a fairly large marketing campaign w for the theatrical release over here-- so, no deleted scenes.
I really recommend it, though maybe not as strongly to anyone who doesn't like action flicks.
