As posting for Intercomm winds down (there are still a few more hours, though!! It doesn't end until 11:59pm Sunday your local time), I wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who's participated!! I say that here, for RAS'ers, and I really mean it for the whole of the competition. While it's been fun to be competitive, what's really been the best part is seeing all of this incredible fic. The response was SO far above and beyond what I ever expected, and all I can really say is:

(sparkle text under cut)
Now, as to what's next: voting. We'll know in just a handful of hours which comms have come out on top (let's not make any assumptions... *ahem* XD), but then, it'll be down to the fics, themselves! That's going to be two steps: first, there's going to be voting within the comms themselves. Then, the winners from the comms will go on to Intercomm voting, to see who takes the top prize!
But, that's getting ahead a little. :) The polls will be going up on the comms for the first round of voting within the next week, and will be open throughout February.
We're going to need some banners for the winners! So, if any of you are graphically inclined and would like to volunteer, please let me know either as a reply to this post, or via PM.
Thanks again, everyone!! :) I would've counted even half the response we got to this a success, and am absolutely blown away by what you've done. You're all amazing!!! :) :) :)

Date: 2010-01-31 07:53 pm (UTC)Huge kudos to all the mods for their efforts behind the scenes to put this thing on.
A very special mention and huge thanks to WastingYourGum for updating the scoreboard. It was amazing to watch the numbers post. And I'll admit it spurred me on a time or two.
And if this event hasn't completely fried the mods, I hope it'll be an annual event. And perhaps we can get a few more comms involved next time.
Hip hip hooray for the InterComm!!!
