New Tagging Rules, and RAS Summer Project: WWRD!

First, a couple of notes on tags:

We've eliminated the genre tags, since they're only occasionally used (and "gen" has never been used at all). The pairing tags should be sufficient for finding what you're in the mood to read, as far as het or slash goes.

Also, "author" tags have been changed to "contributor" tags. This was partially borne of wanting to give everybody credit, but not being entirely sure how to label some of the stuff from the Robin Party, lol; and, it also makes more sense than having multiple tags for people who have both written fics and made vids, for example.

We haven't had tagging rules before, and while these aren't "do this or you're out, grr, RULES," we figured it would be helpful to outline what should be used, since it's been kind of random so far. So, we've tidied up the tags list and drawn up the:

NEW! TAGGING GUIDELINES
1.) If you're pimping a community, project, or website, all you need is the "pimping" tag.

2.) If asking a question, please tag your post "question."
- If your question is about a community event (such as Intercomm or Campfire Tales), please use that event's tag, too.
- If your question is about an episode or season of Robin Hood, please also use the appropriate episode or season tag (ex: "1x01" or "s1").
- If your question is about a non-Robin Hood Jonas Armstrong role, please use the appropriate tag (ex: "book of blood" or "the street").

So, if I was asking a question about the RH episode "Childhood," my tags would be: question, 1x04. If I was looking for help finding a fic, all I would need to use is question.

3.) When posting almost anything else, please use a category tag (art, discussion, fic, icons, jonas squee, vid) and all of the following that apply:
- your contributor tag, if you've created something
- episode number or season
- characters (all canon characters should be tagged; OC's aren't necessary to tag)
- pairings (all pairings involving a canon character in the entry, including OC's)
- rating
- special event (ex: campfire tales, holidays, intercomm, wwrd)
- and don't forget our super-special "crusader!robs" tag!! ;)

So, if I was posting a discussion about some aspect of "Let the Games Commence," my tags would be: 3x05, discussion. If I was posting a pg-rated, Robin/Marian drabble set during a random season 2 moment for Campfire Tales, my tags would be: campfire tales, char: marian, char: robin, contributor: railise, fic, pairing: robin/marian, rating: pg, s2. That seems like a lot, but more is better when it comes to tags! It allows people to find what you've posted, or helps you find what you're looking for.

This has been added to the community profile, and while they're classified as "rules," please don't be intimidated; we just want to streamline things, and make sure that RAS is easy to browse. And, if you're not sure about what to use, or need a tag that's not on the list, don't hesitate to PM us-- we never mind helping out!! :) (Especially for something as easy to handle as tags; that's a piece of mod cake, really. :D)


Now, onto the RAS summer project...



For RAS's summer fun, we wanted to come up with something that could be done quickly, or be used as inspiration for a more involved endeavor. Something that could be a single moment of fun, or spur you on for weeks. We also wanted something kind of different... and we therefore present you with "What Would Robin Do?"

The premise of WWRD is that one small thing in each S1 episode happened a little differently than we remember. To play along, pick a prompt, and then do these two things:
1.) Fill in the blank with what you think happened.
2.) Give Robin's reaction to the new situation.

That's it! Have a one-word answer in mind for each of those parts? Awesome; submit it! Want to use a pair of screencaps to tell the different story? Sure; go for it! Inspired to write a drabble or a longer fic, make a manip or macro, or some original art? SWEET!! Serious, cracky, or something in between-- all good. One prompt, five, or all thirteen-- do as many or as few as you want. It's just for fun, not a competition... a stress-free game. :)

Please make entries a new post; if you have a handful of them, it's fine to lump them together; just remember to use lj-cuts if your post is getting long, or if it consists of large or several images.

Non-members are welcome to participate!

Example prompt: 1x01 - When Much says he feels a song coming on, he ______.
Example entry: When Much says he feels a song coming on, he sings it anyway, instead of letting Robin talk him out of it. And Robin's head explodes! (Not making an example manip for that; hope nobody's too disappointed. ;))
