Intercomm fic: Bad Sign

WOOT! RAS Intercomm kick-off!! :) Happy New Year, everybody!!

Title: Bad Sign
Author: [livejournal.com profile] railise
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Characters: Robin, Much
Disclaimer: I have no rights to or association with the show Robin Hood, and get nothing from this other than the fun of playing in the world provided by the BBC and Tiger Aspect.
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] rh_intercomm; inspired by this image prompt

Robin turned the twisted metal over in his hand. He had been unsettled enough when they reached the Crusader camp, only to find it gone. Not deserted; gone, as if had never been there. It should have been reassuring to find proof that they were not in the wrong place, but this was worse. It indicated that something had, indeed, happened.

"Are you sure we should've gone east?" Much called. "Maybe it was south-- what's that?" He came over and examined the ravaged buckle, then met Robin's troubled gaze. "Where are they?" he whispered.

"I have no idea," Robin murmured.

What a perfect little drabble - tells a complete story in just a few words - and great use of the prompt.

Good job!

This is great! It gave me a little shiver -- I'm worried for the boys!

Ooh, a little intrigue. And definitely a bad sign. Good job.

Oooh, mystery and intrigue abound. I like it!

Love it!

It's complete in itself, yet, somehow, I can almost hear the title sequence music welling up at the end of it.

Oh excellent! So intriguing - with so many unanswered questions - yet, at the same time, completely self-contained. It could be the opening for a wonderful (longer) story, but is also just perfect on its own.

Quite a feat!

I'm so glad someone got something out of that image prompt even if it was more questions than answers.

I love writing unanswered questions in my fic. The not knowing makes me feel like I've tapped into something larger than myself and I am just a conduit for the story; and that there is a much bigger mystery that is still out there and waiting...for some other author to discover!
